Uno Alla Volta Gets Personal

The Spouse of a Multichannel Merchant Staffer in Late 2007 placed a holiday order with Uno Alla Volta, a catalog of fine gifts and collectibles whose title translates to “one at a time.” This past December, the customer received a holiday greeting card from the catalog’s CEO/founder Terri S. Alpert. “Because you share my joy of discovering items touched by the human spirit, you have enabled me to create a different kind of company — one built on a foundation of the uniqueness of the individual and of all the creativity and dignity that makes us human…” the card said. That’s quite a lovely sentiment for a CEO to convey — to a one-time buyer, no less — and a very nice touch.
