Direct electronics merchant Newegg has named Kunal Thakkar vice president of operations. Thakkar will be responsible for overseeing all of Newegg’s logistics and transportation functions, including managing the company’s warehouse operations and transportation service providers.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Thakkar comes to Newegg from fashion apparel wholesaler Leg Avenue, where he was the vice president of global operations and business strategy. In this role, Thakkar designed and implemented a fully automated distribution center, helped double the company’s sales, and improved its profits.
Thakkar also served as a supply chain management consultant at UPS Professional Services where he worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies to help streamline operational processes and improve efficiency.
