ShipStation, the leading web-based ecommerce shipping solution, today announced that it has integrated with Amazon Mexico, Amazon’s newly-launched site that offers physical goods sales to customers in Mexico who buy online. The Spanish-language site, Amazon.com.mx, features millions of items including consumer electronics, kitchen and home items, sports equipment, tools, baby, health and personal care products, jewelry, music, books, movies, software and more.
According to a Forrester Research Inc. report cited in Internet Retailer, total Mexican online retail spending, excluding marketplaces, ticketing and travel sites, grew about 21.7% to about $2.8 billion in 2014 and is forecasted to grow another 139% by 2019. In addition, the Forrester report says Mexico’s number of online shoppers should more than double over the next five years, from 10.1 million in 2014 to 21.1 million in 2019.
Online retailers who ship Amazon Mexico orders from their own distribution center will be able to use ShipStation’s time-saving and money-saving shipping and fulfillment options, including batch label processing and shipping discounts. In addition, these ecommerce retailers will be able to use ShipStation’s international fulfillment and shipping features, including:
- Customs forms using automation rules
- Transmission of international shipping documentation to UPS and FedEx
- Automatically includes signature and date on customs forms
