Retailers—including catalogers and Web merchants—are
more likely to retain customers when they make returns easy and
efficient, according to a survey from Newgistics conducted by Harris
Interactive. Ninety percent of respondents said that a convenient
return policy and process makes them more likely to make a purchase
from a marketer. What’s more, 95% of respondents said they are
very likely or somewhat likely to shop with an online merchant or
cataloger again if the returns process is convenient.
