Why ShipStation Acquisition Bodes Well for Stamps.com

Investment advisory service The Motley Fool sees Stamps.com’s recent acquisition of ShipStation as a huge positive for the company, as it reduces its dependence on the struggling United States Postal Service and opens the door for global expansion.

While both companies have partnerships with major retailers as well as marketplaces like Amazon and eBay – and ecommerce outfits like Bigcommerce and Shopify – the article points out that the addition of ShipStation allows Stamps.com customers to organize and process orders and print postage and shipping labels from a variety of carriers – not just the USPS.
