Matrix Group Ltd. Loses Warehouse to Fire

Sporting goods maker and seller Matrix Group Ltd. lost a 13,500-sq.-ft. warehouse in Safety Harbor, FL, to a fire late Sunday night, according to published reports.

The fire caused $1.5 million in damage and destroyed the warehouse. A cause had not been determined at press time.

A message on the front page of Websites for its Spike Volleyball, Sweet & Powerful, Baseball Warehouse and Softball Warehouse catalogs announces that there was a fire in one of its facilities, and that there may be short delays in the handling of orders.

Matrix Group specializes in sporting equipment and team uniforms for a number of sports, including baseball, softball, cheerleading and wrestling, and operates 10 e-commerce sites.
