NAME: Mike Schwarz
COMPANY: RibbedTee.com MS_RibbedTee_300x200_WebReady
JOB TITLE: Founder

During the holiday season, my favorite channel to shop would be:  Online. I’m not a big fan of retail holiday shopping “chaos”, so I prefer to shop from the safety (and tranquility) of my home.  I also prefer the desktop computer shopping experience — It’s so much easier to shop on 22″ screen than it is a 5″ screen.

Which matters more to you as a shopper: Free Shipping, Same-day Shipping, Same-day Delivery and why: Provided those three options only, I’d go with Free Shipping. Though, as an online retailer, I know there’s really no such thing as “Free Shipping”, so I wouldn’t mind if a retailer offered me an “Almost Free” Shipping offer.

When I’m not shopping on my own site, my favorite place to shop is: Amazon. Their product selection is unmatched.

Which merchant is mastering the fulfillment process right now: Uline.com. Their shipping time is A-MAZE-ING.  We’ll place an order, and they’ll ship it 30 minutes later – every time.

The biggest operations and fulfillment technology enhancement I need for my business would be: Slightly better stock management. Automated picking would be kinda cool too.

In my downtime, my favorite place to travel would be: To visit my daughter in the Mid-West.

The best advice I received from a boss, friend, mentor or family member is: Perfect is the enemy of Good Enough. Meaning, it’s more practical to launch something that meets most of your core objectives. If you wait to get something perfect, you might just miss your market opportunity.

When I’m not working, I’m: Working out or chilling with my wife and our fabulous dog Ms. Charlie.

If I could have one superhero power, it would be:  Mind Reader. If you know what people are thinking, you could be pretty empowered. Time traveler would be my second option. That’d be cool.

When I was growing up, I wanted to be a: Entrepreneur.  Boy, what was I thinking?
