Gift catalog Eximious has named Jeff Parnell as CEO. Previously Parnell had been vice president of marketing forthe Overton’s catalog.

Automotive parts and accessories direct marketer J.C. Whitney & Co. has named Tim Ford president. Ford previously served as chief financial officer for the Chicago-based catalog company.

Gary Rovansek was named president/chief operating officer of Suc-cessories, an Aurora, IL-based manufacturer/cataloger of motivational and inspirational products. Rovansek joins Successories from auto parts cataloger J.C. Whitney & Co.

Weehawken, NJ-based multititle cataloger Hanover Direct has named Joel Mintz vice president of merchandising of its Domesticatons catalog. Also, Lynn Gray has joined the company as general merchandise manager for the Kitchen & Home catalog.

Jennifer Fredericks has been appointed vice president of direct marketing at Boulder, CO-based Amrion, a manufacturer/cataloger of nutritional supplements. Fredericks was promoted from general manager of direct marketing.

Bob Armao is now executive vice president of computer cataloger Insight Enterprises. Armao joins the Tempe, AZ-based company from NEC Computer Systems Division.

Michael J. Kowalski has been named president/CEO of New York-based cataloger/retailer Tiffany and Co. Previously president/chief operating officer of the jewelry marketer, he replaces William R. Chaney as CEO; Chaney will continue to serve as chairman.

Westborough, MA-based office supplies cataloger/retailer Staples promoted Ronald Sargent to president/chief operating officer. Sargent had been president of the company’s North American operations.

Spiegel has appointed George D. Ittner to its board of directors. Ittner is president of the Downers Grove, IL-based marketer’s Newport News apparel catalog. The board also named Michael R. Moran chairperson of the office of the president.

Women’s apparel cataloger DM Management has hired Jane Dunning as vice president of merchandising for its Nicole Summers catalog. Dunning was most recently merchandise manager at L.L. Bean.

Chestnut Hill, MA-based Neiman Marcus Group has named Robert A. Smith CEO and Burton M. Tansky president/chief operating officer. Smith had been president/chief operating officer of the company, which consists of Neiman Marcus Stores, NM Direct, and Bergdorf Goodman. Tansky will continue to serve as chairman/CEO of Neiman Marcus Stores.

PBS Learning Media, the video marketing unit of the Public Broadcasting Service, has hired Ken Poortinga as its senior director of circulation/consumer marketing. His duties will include overseeing the circulation of the PBS Direct catalog.

New York-based bookseller Barnes & Noble has named Jonathan Bulkeley CEO of the store’s online unit, barnes-andnoble.com. Bulkeley previously served as an executive with the German media group Bertelsmann AG Internet, which is a partner in barnesandnoble.com.

Martin Bullen has joined Oakland, CA-based Kaiser Permanente Ventures as merchandise manager of its Partners in Health catalog. Bullen comes from McMaster-Carr Supply Co., where he’d held the same position.

Canton, MA-based wine cataloger Geerlings & Wade has appointed Vince Ficcaglia vice president of marketing. Ficcaglia had been vice president/marketing director at direct marketing agency Bronner Slosberg Humphrey.

World Color Press promoted Marc L. Reisch to president. Reisch had been chief financial officer of the Green-wich, CT-based company.

Montreal-based Quebecor Printing has appointed Christian Paupe executive vice president/chief financial officer and Guy Turgeon vice president of finance and accounting.

Mt. Laurel, NJ-based Roosevelt Paper Co. announced one promotion and two new staffers: MaryKay Leister was promoted to the inside sales staff of the Mt. Laurel office; Jeff Williams joined the outside sales staff in the company’s Chicago division; and Chris Allen joined the inside sales staff in the company’s Cincinnati division.

Chicago-based Midland Paper has named Chistopher C. Eddowes vice president, direct sales for the company’s New York sales office.

Sara Lucas and Donna Roth have joined Consolidated Papers as specification sales representatives. And Brian Woodard has been hired by Consolidated as a market representative for its print-on-demand group.

Bill LaPierre was named director of Millard Group’s catalog brokerage division. LaPierre was promoted from account manager at the Peterborough, NH-based list firm.

Henry DiSciullo has joined Irvine, CA-based SK&A Information Services as eastern region sales manager. He had previously worked at InfoUSA. SK&A also hired Jeremiah Gilliam as a customer service representative.

Greg Wells has joined Mokrynski & Associates as vice president of the company’s new list compilation division. Prior to signing on with the Hackensack, NJ-based list firm, Wells was vice president of sales and marketing for Hugo Dunhill Mailing Lists. Mokrynski also hired Holly Hornyak, formerly a senior account executive at Direct Media, as vice president of international brokerage. And the company announced two promotions: Mark Bridges to vice president/director of the international division, and John Lo Giudice to sales representative, international list management.

Todd Love was hired as director of new business development for the New England branch of Princeton, NJ-based American List Counsel. Love had been vice president/group director of list management at Acxiom/Direct Media. American List Counsel also named three new executives for its Peterborough, NH-based ALC Interactive Media division: Ed Larking, director of database development; Roe Johnson, senior account executive; and Pam Finnegan, senior account group manager/e-mail lists.

Mallory Weil has joined New York-based Clark-Mackain as vice president, brokerage and consulting.

Deborah Felton has been promoted to the newly created position of director of people development at New York-based AGA Catalog Marketing & Design. Felton will retain her duties as administrator of AGA University, which offers educational courses to staff members.

Olivia Rud was appointed vice president of analytic services at DirectCom, a West Patterson, NJ-based provider of data warehousing systems and marketing services.

Philadelphia-based Devon Direct Marketing & Advertising has named James Nolan management supervisor. Nolan was previously an assistant vice president at Mellon Bank Corp.

Chicago marketing research company Conway/Milliken & Associates has announced the addition of Carlos Salazar-Velasquez to its Hispanic marketing research group. Prior to joining the company, Salazar-Velasquez was a private consultant.

Portland, OR-based Telemark has named Carole Mohr director of business development. Mohr was senior vice president of operations at Dakotah Direct.

Westminster, CO-based Abacus Direct named Liz Buderus product manager of housefile services. The co-op database firm also named Kelly Blissenbach production specialist and Brent Hudson production coordinator.

Kristy McKibben has formed a Kansas City, MO-based catalog development and production firm, McKibben & Co. She was previously director of advertising at Helzberg Diamond Shops in North Kansas City, MO.

Portland, OR-based print project manager Market Place Design has named Traci Kezar art director and Jody Hart account executive.
