J. Michael Wolfe, the president of Longmont, CO-based Concepts Direct, was elected to the cataloger’s board of directors. The company also hired J. Benjamin Gill as vice president and promoted Sally Doyle to vice president of human resources.

Jonah Gitlitz, the former president/CEO of the Direct Marketing Association, was named interim president of Rye, NY-based gift cataloger Lillian Vernon.

Jim Vanthournout joined Bowling Green, KY-based Camping World, a cataloger/retailer of RV supplies, as director of marketing database.

Einar Dyhrkopp, president of Tecumseh International Corp., was elected to a one-year term as chairman of the board of governors of the U.S. Postal Service. Robert Rider, chairman/CEO of O.A. Newton and Son Co., was named vice chairman of the 11-member board.

Shawnee Mission, KS-based consulting firm J. Schmid & Assoc. has hired two account executives. Donna Ray joins the company from Harte Hanks/Marketing Communications, where she was account coordinator. Steve Trollinger was assistant director of the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Henry W. Bloch School of Business Administration’s Center for Direct Marketing Education and Research.

Infosis Corp., a Washington-based Internet technology provider, has hired Peter Miller as vice president of sales and marketing, and David Creagh as vice president of business development.

Irvine, CA-based list and database company SK&A Information Services promoted Lori Connell to human resources supervisor.

Marke Communications, a New York-based creative agency, promoted Darrell Beasley to vice president, creative director, and Bob Sienicki to creative director. Also, Roxanne Manghise was hired as vice president, operations; Marti Bracco as associate creative director; Whitney Critchley as art director; and Stephanie Keen as copy manager.

Ross/Brown Integrated Marketing Communications hired Todd Jones as creative director. Before joining the Chicago-based agency, Jones was a senior designer for Performance Communication Group and an inhouse designer for Montgomery Ward.

Roosevelt Paper Co., based in Mt. Laurel, NJ, hired three salespeople: Bob Malone, to cover Manhattan as an outside salesman for the company’s northeast division; Dan Organ; who joins the inside sales staff of the northeast division; and Bonnie Taylor, who will cover Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana as part of the outside sales staff of the Kentucky division.
