Tracy Keller joined Team Paradise, a catalog of inline skating equipment, as marketing manager. She will manage promotional activities and advertising.

Barnesandnoble.com announced the addition of four members to its senior management team: Rob Chmiel as chief financial officer; Melissa Lake Roberson as vice president, executive editor; Brenda Marsh as vice president of merchandising; and Tom Simon as vice president of content development.

The Millard Group named Valerie Bloom as account manager, fundraising brokerage. She will work out of Millard Group’s recently opened satellite office in Darien, CT The list firm also named Larry Key as executive director of MIS/chief information officer. He was previously CIO of Trend-Lines.

Mokrynski & Associates promoted Sandra Matika to group vice president, list brokerage.

Kimberly Walsh returned to The SpeciaLists as creative director. She was most recently with Mokrynski & Associates.

Abacus Direct announced three promotions and three new hires: Both Connie Howard and Karen Crist were promoted to associate vice president from senior director, catalog client services; and Teresa Durham was promoted to employee services coordinator from senior receptionist, human resources support. John Sullivan has been hired as controller, finance department; Michele Portella as corporate communications coordinator; and Michelle Keller as administrative intern.

Philip Whittles joined SK&A Information Services as inside sales manager. He will be responsible for developing new clients across the U.S.

Bloomingdale’s By Mail (BBM) promoted Michael Carton, director of production services, to operating vice president, production services. He joined BBM in May 1992 as director of catalog production.

Consolidated Papers has promoted George Sargent to district manager, sales and marketing from market representative. Also, Timothy Laatsch was named director of public affairs; Paul Callahan, executive district manager; Sheldon Spicer, national accounts manager; and Kenneth Hart, printer services representative.

Sally Shipley was promoted to sales manager at graphics and printing services company Page Imaging. Jodi Fetcko joined the company as production/traffic coordinator in the creative services department.

Group SAA named Bruce Moyer as director of marketing. His most recent position was president of Directions Marketing.

DM Management promoted Patty Lee to executive vice president of the J. Jill catalog and Kelly Cooper to vice president, product development. Lee was previously vice president, J. Jill, and Cooper was director of product development.

J. Crew Group appointed Scott Hyatt as senior vice president, manufacturing, for J. Crew Operating Corp. He will report to Barry Erdos, chief operating officer.

David Kalstrom joined Multiple Zones International as vice president of outbound sales. He will oversee the company’s corporate and small-business sales groups.

Successories named Robert Hayes senior vice president of merchandising. He will be responsible for all areas of merchandising, including inventory management and marketing.

AGA Catalog Marketing and Design appointed Miriam Frawley vice president of operations. Previously she was a management consultant for a pharmaceutical corporation.

Georgia Shonk-Simmons joined multititle cataloger Coldwater Creek as vice president and director of merchandising.

PhotoDisc appointed Paul Weber as vice president, information technology. Previously he was vice president of information services and logistics for Kitchen Etc.

Gene McCaffery was appointed chief executive officer of cataloger/cable television network ValueVision. He was also appointed to the company’s board of directors.

Spiegel’s Newport News apparel catalog promoted Geralynn Madonna to senior vice president of merchandising and advertising and Will Rubino to vice president of merchandising.

DIMAC Direct has announced three appointments: Dave Barbeau, to account supervisor; Patrick Kelly, to manager, technical services; and Carole Giannola, to senior account supervisor.

Staples appointed David Crosier as executive vice president, supply chain management. He will lead the supply chain and logistics strategy for Staples’ retail, international, contract, and commercial divisions.

Clarence Lewis was named the U.S. Postal Service’s chief operating officer and executive vice president. Lewis had been a postal service vice president in Pittsburgh.

Online video cataloger Reel.com named Dave Rochlin as vice president of marketing and Diane Hourany as vice president of operations.

Real Goods Trading Corp. named Les Seely its chief financial officer and secretary. Seely was most recently chief financial officer at Schurman Fine Papers.
