Sandpoint, ID-based cataloger Coldwater Creek has promoted Georgia Shonk-Simmons to CEO. Shonk-Simmons, who joined the company in 1998, has also been named to serve on the company’s board of directors. Coldwater Creek cofounder Dennis Pence retains responsibility as chairman of the board; cofounder Ann Pence will continue as vice chairman/creative director. In addition, the company has promoted Tom Scott, chief operating officer, to executive vice president, and Don Robson, chief financial officer, to executive vice president.

Columbus, OH-based women’s apparel marketer Victoria’s Secret Direct, part of Intimate Brands, promoted Jeffrey Nachbor to vice president of finance. Nachbor joined Intimate Brands in May 2000 as director of finance for The Limited. Prior to that he worked for Tricon Global Restaurants and PepsiCo.

Plano, TX-based J.C. Penney Co. has promoted Michael Dastugue from assistant treasurer to vice president/treasurer. Dastugue was senior accountant with Arthur Andersen prior to joining the general merchandise cataloger/retailer in 1991.

The Sportsman’s Guide, a catalog based in South St. Paul, MN, has appointed Douglas E. Johnson vice president of marketing. Johnson was most recently director of list marketing for multititle cataloger Fingerhut.

Dodgeville, WI-based apparel catalog mailer Lands’ End announces the appointment of Jeffrey A. Jones to chief operating officer, a newly created position.

Shopsmith, a Dayton, OH-based woodworking tool manufacturer/marketer, announced two promotions. David W. Folkerth has been promoted from manager of woodworking shows to direct marketing manager. Karen Seebach was promoted to catalog manager. Folkerth has been with the company for 13 years, during which he was also a field sales rep; Seebach has been with Shopsmith for 20 years.

Dimac, a St. Louis-based direct marketing firm, named Wayne Christina vice president of project management, Mike Henning senior vice president of human resource, Brian Becker senior vice president of national account marketing, and Michael Lombardo vice president of marketing services.

San Francisco-based Esprit de Corp. has appointed Clare Cuthbert senior vice president of sales for footwear and accessories, Michelle Rapino to vice president of merchandising for sportswear and kids, and Donna Bhatia to senior vice president/general manager of the catalog and Website.

Charlotte, NC-based Bowater’s coated paper division has promoted Brendan Lesch to sales manager, Eastern region, based in the New York area. The company has also named Don Wallace sales manager, Western region, based in Lisle, IL

Roosevelt Paper Co., a Mt. Laurel, NJ-based paper supplier, has made three additions to its sales staff. Toni Bramley, Barry Chaplick, and Emily Roberts have joined the inside sales staff and will be based in Roosevelt Paper’s Chicago facility.

Tina Ellman has been promoted to supervisor of list management operations at Schaumburg, IL-based list company Rubin Response Management Services.
