New York-based multichannel teen girls apparel marketer Delia’s Corp. appointed Brian Jarvis executive vice president of store operations. Most recently, Jarvis owned and operated a children’s clothing store in Westport, CT.

Corte Madera, CA-based cataloger/retailer Restoration Hardware appointed Kevin W. Shahan chief financial officer. Most recently, Shahan was chief financial officer/vice president of operations for NextMonet, an Internet and catalog retailer of fine art products.

Novato, CA-based garden gifts cataloger/retailer Smith & Hawken named Dee Marie Rawlinson general merchandise manager and Andrew Wadhams vice president of stores. Rawlinson joins the company from Banana Republic, where she most recently served as merchandise manager for its home and men’s accessories division. Wadhams previously worked for Bebe as vice president for its domestic and international stores.

Warren, PA-based general merchandise cataloger Blair Corp. named Ronald L. Ramseyer to its board of directors. Ramseyer is president of direct marketing for cataloger/retailer Bass Pro Shops.

Medford, OR-based cataloger Musician’s Friend named Dave Rice general merchandising manager/director of merchandising. Rice joins the marketer from its parent company, Guitar Center. Musician’s Friend also hired Chris Tso as senior product manager, high technology and appointed Jay Piccirillo product manager for amplifiers and effects.

Melville, NY-based MRO supplies distributor MSC Industrial Direct promoted Ross Anker, former chief information officer, to senior vice president of product management and information systems.

Framingham, MA-based Staples appointed Paul J. Gaffney, a former Office Depot executive responsible for creating its e-commerce site, to chief information officer. Brian T. Light, Staples executive vice president/chief information officer, will become executive vice president at StaplesDirect.com, the company’s combined e-commerce catalog operation.

Downers Grove, IL-based The Spiegel Group appointed Rich Lauer vice president of operations. Lauer will continue to serve as president/CEO of Distribution Fulfillment Services (DFS), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Spiegel Group that provides catalog and Web fulfillment as well as retail distribution needs for Spiegel, Eddie Bauer, and other Spiegel Group ventures.

Delray Beach, FL-based office products marketer Office Depot named CEO Bruce Nelson to the additional position of chairman of the board. The company also appointed Patricia B. Morrison executive vice president/chief information officer and promoted Anne Cashman to the new position of senior vice president/general manager of the company’s Viking U.S. business, headquartered in Los Angeles.

Phoenix-based pet supplies marketer PetsMart named Susanne Eiselsberg senior vice president/chief marketing officer. PetsMart has also promoted Brian Miller to chief accounting officer, in addition to his responsibilities as vice president/controller. And Thomas S. Liston will return to the company as interim chief information officer, a position he held from February to June 2001.

Quincy, MA-based women’s apparel cataloger/retailer The J. Jill Group appointed Peter J. Clinch vice president of inventory management. Clinch, who will be responsible for all inventory management, planning, and distribution functions at J. Jill Direct, joins the company from Williams-Sonoma, where he most recently served as senior vice president/inventory management for Pottery Barn brands.
