Vernon Hills, IL-based CDW Government (CDW-G), a wholly owned subsidiary of CDW Computer Centers, has named Max Peterson vice president of federal sales. Peterson, who has also held vice president positions at Commerce One, Government Technology Services, and Semaphore, will be based in Lansdowne, VA.

Apparel and home goods cataloger/retailer Eddie Bauer has appointed S. Ronald Gaston as senior vice president/chief financial officer. Gaston will report directly to Fabian Mansson, president/CEO of Redmond, WA-based Eddie Bauer. Gaston replaces outgoing chief financial officer Al Chambard, who is retiring after 22 years of service with Eddie Bauer. Gaston previously was executive vice president/chief administration officer for Lane Bryant.

Plano, TX-based general merchandise cataloger/retailer J.C. Penney Corp. named Lana Cain Krauter executive vice president/general merchandise manager, men’s and children’s division. She was previously president/chief merchandising officer of Goody’s Family Clothing. Krauter replaces William Cappiello, who has resigned to spend more time with his family.

Hingham, MA-based apparel cataloger/retailer The Talbots announced the promotion of six executives. Hal Bosworth was promoted to executive vice president/chief merchandising officer from senior vice president/general manager, Talbots Kids and Mens. Michele Mandell has been promoted to the new position of executive vice president, stores and Kids, from senior vice president of stores; Judy O’Keefe was promoted to senior vice president, merchandise administration and inventory management, from vice president, merchandise administration; Lucy Main Tweet was promoted to senior vice president, manufacturing from vice president, manufacturing; David Dirienzo was promoted to vice president, Talbots Mens from director, Talbots Mens merchandising; and Sandy Forgione was promoted to vice president, Talbots Kids from managing director of Talbots Kids merchandising and product development.

New York-based 360 Youth, an Alloy company, has hired Madelyn Roberts as vice president/publisher of print and interactive. Roberts will oversee advertising sales and marketing of the teen products marketer’s magazine and catalog properties as well as related Websites. Prior to joining 360 Youth, Roberts held positions such as publisher of McCall’s magazine and Mode magazine.

The Sportsman’s Guide, a South St. Paul, MN-based outdoor products marketer, has elected Jay A. Leitch, Ph.D., to its board of directors. Leitch is dean of the College of Business Administration, North Dakota State University.

Integrated Color Solutions (ICS), a New York-based color management solutions provider, has named Jeffrey Silverman president/CEO. Silverman brings to ICS more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the media, technology, and data industries, most recently with the management team of DoubleClick.

Scarsdale, NY-based list and package insert firm Leon Henry has appointed Lynn Henry James as executive vice president. James had been a freelance graphic designer.
