Newark, OH-based golf products manufacturer/distributor GolfWorks has hired Al Bessin and Mark McCormick as co-CEOs. Bessin and McCormick had worked together at Musician’s Friend and at Golfsmith International.

Mount Laurel, NJ-based distributor of printing, publishing, envelope, labels, and forms papers Roosevelt Paper Co. has promoted John Miller to manager of its Mount Laurel division. Miller has been with Roosevelt Paper for more than 28 years.

Quincy, MA-based women’s apparel cataloger/retailer J. Jill Group appointed Eric Welter to the newly established position of vice president of marketing analysis. Most recently, Welter served as vice president at Geerlings & Wade.

Dodgeville, WI-based direct merchant Lands’ End appointed Eric Kyser vice president/general merchandising manager of the company’s men’s division. Most recently, Kyser was vice president of product development for Montgomery Ward in Chicago.

Greenwich, CT-based list brokerage and management firm Direct Media appointed John Pegler chief information officer. Most recently, Pegler served as a senior manager for technology consulting firm Covansys.

Manchester Center, VT-based The Vermont Country Store has appointed Betsy Hendrickson to vice president, merchandising; Janice Izzi to director, merchandising — hard goods; and Judith Patterson to manager, control buying. Previously, Hendrickson was director of merchandising for the Victoria’s Secret catalog. Izzi was Vermont Country Store’s director of retail stores, and Patterson was vice president of operations/president of the catalog division of Humboldt Industries.

Downers Grove, IL-based The Spiegel Group appointed James B. Pekarek vice president/corporate controller. And its Spiegel Catalog named Anne Linsdau vice president of human resources. Most recently, Pekarek was vice president of finance/corporate controller at Montgomery Ward; Linsdau was vice president of human resources at Fortune Brands.

Minneapolis-based Fingerhut Cos., a wholly owned subsidiary of Federated Department Stores, made six executive appointments. John Christiansen, formerly vice president, e-commerce marketing, was named senior vice president of marketing. Wayne P. Garten, most recently chief financial officer for MicroWarehouse, was appointed president of Popular Club, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fingerhut. Nils Ytterbo was promoted from chief financial officer to senior vice president/chief financial officer. Kin Leung was promoted from director to vice president of finance, Fingerhut subsidiaries. Steven A. Lightman, formerly president of the company’s Arizona Mail Order (AMO) subsidiary, was promoted to executive vice president, catalog, responsible for Fingerhut’s core catalog and subsidiary catalog businesses. Mike Raven, formerly a sales account executive in Fingerhut’s marketing services area, was promoted to director of marketing services.

New York-based Delia’s Corp., a multichannel marketer of teen girls’ apparel, appointed Hilary Chasin executive vice president of marketing. Most recently, Chasin was management director/partner of Dirty Water Integrated, a marketing services firm.
