Sharper Image sues over air purifier

San Francisco-based cataloger/retailer Sharper Image Corp. is suing Honeywell International, Radio Shack Corp., and Kaz for patent infringement and misleading advertising. In a press release, Sharper Image said it has also requested a temporary restraining order against the companies.

The suit focuses on Sharper Image’s proprietary Ionic Breeze Silent Air Purifier and the other companies’ Environizer air purifier The multiple Sharper Image Zenion/Ionic Breeze patents are clearly violated by the design and structure of the Environizer." Sharper Image Design senior vice president Charles Taylor said in a statement.
