SmarterKids.com, Earlychildhood Finalize Merger

Needham, MA--Online children’s educational products store SmarterKids.com and educational products cataloger/retailer Earlychildhood have completed their merger. The companies are now wholly owned subsidiaries of LearningStar, whose shares will be traded under the symbol (LRNS) on the Nasdaq National Market. LearningStar is a manufacturer/marketer of children’s educational products for parents and teachers. In addition, LearningStar has secured a $25 million credit facility with GMAC Business Credit.
