Southern Fulfillment Services Acquires Citrus Country Groves

Food gifts merchant/fulfillment provider Southern Fulfillment Services has picked up another citrus fruits retailer. The Vero Beach, FL-based company announced on May 7 it has acquired Citrus Country Groves.

Citrus County Grove stores in Seminole and Clearwater, FL will operate under the existing brand names and catalog titles, which include Holiday Citrus and Orange Blossom Groves.

Southern Fulfillment Services, which also provides private label fulfillment for catalog and Internet companies, now owns multiple catalog brands related to citrus and gourmet food categories. Hale Groves is its 60-year-old brand of citrus food gifts.

The company two years ago acquired Pittman & Davis, a catalog and Internet merchant of fruits and gourmet foods. And last month it bought Gift Baskets Remembered, an e-commerce gourmet gift baskets company founded in 2004.
