Lessons Learned From Alibaba’s $9.3 Billion Singles Day

Purchases made via Alipay on 11.11 topped $9.3 billion, a 60% jump thanks to Alibaba’s efforts to globalize Singles Day. It caught on in Russia and Brazil, for example, but sales to customers in the U.S, were not very robust.
