Trumbull, CT--The sale hearing for cataloger The Female Athlete has been adjourned to Feb. 15 at the Long Island Federal Courthouse in Central Islip, NY. The marketer of female athletic gear filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Jan. 3. According to a public notice of the hearing, originally scheduled for Feb 9, the hearing would consider the sale of The Female Athlete's assets to TFA Acquisition, a division of America's Shopping Mall (AMMA).

As of Feb. 13, The Female Athlete's Website was still live. According to the site, as of this past fall the company had planned to mail 20 million copies of four catalog editions this year. The company could not be reached for comment.
