CIRP On Prime Membership Trends and Amazon Prime Day

While membership in Amazon Prime is growing, the rate of growth is beginning to slow, according to new research from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), with an estimated 95 million U.S. members. What factors are behind the slowdown? How much of a focus is expanding Prime membership during Prime Day vs. in past years?

Josh Lowitz, a partner in CIRP, spoke with Multichannel Merchant about trends in Amazon Prime, how Prime Day has matured since its inception in 2015, and CIRP’s latest Prime research and findings.
