Expanding its gift offerings, Westbury, NY-based 1-800-Flowers.com on Nov. 16 announced its acquisition of The Winetasting Network. Through its Ambrosia Catalogue of Fine Wine, its wine clubs, and two Websites, www.winetasting.com and www.ambrosiawine.com, Napa, CA-based Winetasting Network sells wines from more than 100 California wineries. Lesley Berglund, who cofounded Winetasting Network, will remain its CEO. Karen Roche will remain chief operating officer.
In addition to its eponymous brand, the $604 million 1-800-Flowers owns the Plow & Hearth, Popcorn Factory, HearthSong, and Magic Cabin Dolls catalogs, which sell home decor, gifts, and toys.
