Disc Makers, a Pennsauken, NJ-based catalog and Web merchant of CD and DVD replication products and services, has been acquired by Corinthian Capital Group, a New York-based leverage buyout firm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1946 as the Ballen Record Co., had been a family-owned business; Morris Ballen, the current president, is the son of founder Irv Ballen. Sales last year exceeded $66 million. The company sells to consumers as well as to the movie and film industries, and government, religious, education, and corporate buyers.
Corinthian Capital was founded in 2005; it seeks investments in manufacturers, distributors, and b-to-b services providers with EBITDA of $10 million-$25 million. Goldsmith Agio Helms represented Disc Makers in the transaction.
