Venus Swimwear to Expand Retail Efforts

Golden Gate Capital is wasting little time in its plans to expand recently acquired cataloger Venus Swimwear. The San Francisco-based private equity company, which bought Jacksonville, FL-based Venus and sister title WinterSilks in November, plans to open at least two 3,200-sq.-ft. retail stores in Fort Myers and St. Petersburg, FL, by May.

Venus currently has one store, in Jacksonville. Venus’s retail expansion will focus on Florida for at least the next few years.
