(Direct Newsline) Wasserstein & Co. is about to purchase Bear Creek, owner of the Harry and David and Jackson & Perkins catalogs, for $260 million, according to the New York “Post.”
Yamanouchi, the parent firm of Bear Creek, put the direct marketing company up for sale last October. Other interested candidates, Ripplewood Holdings and Thomas H. Lee Partners, could reenter the picture if this deal falls through, the “Post” reported.
