Ratings and reviews can do several things for merchants. With positive reviews and five-star ratings, a merchant can do a little peacocking, and show off their awesomeness in other channels.
And bad reviews? Well, we know that an influx of one-star ratings and poor reviews can help a merchandiser determine what products should not be replenished.
And if you’re Amazon, you can turn funny reviews into comic gold. Even before the Three Moon Wolf T-Shirt became a viral wonder, trolls and customers alike have used their wit and wisdom to create fake product reviews on Amazon.com.
