Redcats USA on Oct. 23 launched a Website that it’s billing as “the world’s first plus-size fashion mall.”
OneStopPlus.com sells the product lines of Redcats USA’s specialty-size apparel titles: women’s clothing books Jessica London, Roaman’s, and Woman Within (formerly Lane Bryant) and menswear catalog KingSize.
Eric Faintreny, chairman/CEO of New York-based Redcats USA, says the company created the site in response to customer feedback. “We’re looking consistently to develop our Internet business, and this seemed like a wonderful way to do that,” he says. “We worked with customer surveys and focus groups, and they seemed enthusiastic about it.”
The “umbrella site,” which sells items up to size 44W for women and up to 10XL for men, has a universal shopping cart for all four brands. Other features include trend reports; a glossary; columns by Nancy Nadler LeWinter, the founder of “Mode,” the first fashion magazine for plus-size women; and interactive editorial offering advice for plus-size women..
“We hope to increase market share on plus-size,” Faintreny says. “We hope to get better search results and serve our customer better.”
