New York–J. Crew’s new catalog is all business—literally. The apparel marketer will mail Corporate Sales, its first business-to-business catalog, on Sept. 8. The 24-page book will mail to roughly 350,000 businesses across the country.
Many of the names for the new catalog were gleaned from J. Crew’s house file. “We’ve had many companies call to place orders for their businesses,” in addition to orders from businesses that J. Crew and parent company Texas Pacific have relationships with, says chief operating officer Walter Killough. As a result, the company already had a group sales department, which will handle the corporate sales orders.
The catalog will sell a combination of popular J. Crew items, such as chinos, polo shirts, and rollneck sweaters, as well as new and exclusive merchandse. And the company sells the clothing in men’s and women’s sizes, as well as some unisex offerings.
