MW Industries has acquired RAF Electronic Hardware, a division of R&R Manufacturing Co., for an undisclosed price.
RAF is a Seymour, CT-based manufacturer and catalog marketer of electronic hardware components, serving the computer, telecommunications, medical, defense, and aviation industries.
MW Industries is a portfolio company of based private equity firm Brockway Moran & Partners. MWI president/CEO Dan Sebastian said in a release: “We are very pleased to be adding RAF to the MWI family of companies. This acquisition is a great complement to our existing catalog operations, adds critical mass to our presence in key segments of the technology sector, and strengthens our distribution network.”
Stuart Rose, managing director for investment bank Tully & Holland, says the acquisition marks MW Industries’ ninth in the past 12 years. The deal includes the assets of R&R Manufacturing and The Hathaway Co., which collectively comprise RAF Electronics Hardware.
“RAF’s diverse product line of more than 40,000 SKUs effectively complements MW Industries’ existing operations, and nearly doubles the number of products offered to consumers,” Rose says. “This acquisition is expected to drive significant growth in the coming years, especially among its catalog operations.”
