Cyber Weekend sales from Thanksgiving through Sunday reached $8.03 billion, a 17% increase, or $1.14 billion more, than in 2014, according to Adobe.
The average order value was $135.25, a 4% year over year growth, with $29.38 spent per Internet user. The average discount was 23%, based on the 555 million visits Adobe analyzed for this period.
Adobe measures 80% of all online transactions from the top 100 U.S. retailers through Adobe Marketing Cloud.
Meanwhile, ChannelAdvisor says its clients have seen its marketplace sales grow 15.9% over the four days. Amazon came in at 20.5% for Cyber Sunday and was in-line with Cyber Saturday’s 20.6% performance.
eBay increased to 4.5% year over year for Cyber Sunday, compared to 3.6% on Cyber Saturday. It’s early, but Scot Wingo, Executive Chairman and Founder of ChannelAdvisor, says this could indicate eBay is starting to benefit from stock out of hot toys and electronics.
