eBay Enterprise Provides Fulfillment Services for Sigma Beauty

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Sep 23, 2015 (BUSINESS WIRE) — eBay Enterprise, an eBay Inc. company, today announced a partnership with the international online beauty store Sigma Beauty to provide fulfillment and freight services. The two companies have entered into a multi-year deal including fulfillment operations and shipping within the United States and across the globe.

Founded in 2009 as an online-only retailer, Sigma Beauty opened its first brick-and-mortar store in 2012 and realized that a partner was needed to help scale and grow its rapidly expanding brand. Sigma Beauty turned to eBay Enterprise’s market-leading fulfillment and freight solutions to significantly improve its order fulfillment capabilities. With 80 percent of packages now going out the same day, Sigma Beauty is able to handle more orders, resulting in higher satisfaction for the customer.

“Having previously managed our fulfillment in-house, it was a major shift to start working with eBay Enterprise, but it quickly became clear that it was the right move,” said Tara Vogelgesang, director of operations at Sigma Beauty. “Our experience with eBay Enterprise has been fantastic, and their expertise in fulfillment operations has been great for our business. After a successful launch, we’re looking forward to the fruitful partnership ahead of us.“

eBay Enterprise was well positioned to meet the needs of Sigma Beauty by providing inbound and outbound fulfillment services, including branded and custom packaging for business-to-consumer and wholesale shipments. The scalability, improved efficiency and global footprint of eBay Enterprise enables Sigma Beauty to focus on growing their business.

“Using our commerce operations expertise to help rapidly growing brands like Sigma Beauty succeed in new channels is what drives our business forward,” said Tom Barone, vice president of North America operations at eBay Enterprise. “To already see such significant improvements in efficiency is a testament to a strong and valued partnership right out of the gate. I’m excited to see our great work continue into the holiday season.”
