Bhavin Shah Named CTO/COO of Nautical Commerce, the Multi-Vendor Marketplace Platform 

Former CTO of Toronto-Based Top Hat, Globalive Technology and TouchBistro to enhance product capabilities and unlock growth for multi-vendor marketplace platform

Toronto, Feb. 24, 2022 — Nautical Commerce, the complete multi-vendor marketplace platform, has brought on Bhavin Shah as its first Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this dual-role, Shah will lead product development and operations with a focus on expanding the team and providing an industry leading customer experience and accelerated product innovation. Shah will report directly to Nautical CEO, Ryan Lee. 

Shah is a power-player CTO with an extensive background in high-growth startups and scaling technology companies. Shah joins Nautical from Top Hat, a leading education technology software provider where he was CTO leading a 100 person software development team. A computer engineer by trade, Shah started his first company while he was a student at the University of Toronto. He then ventured into the telecommunications space at Globalive Communications where he led Engineering and supported the launch of Canada’s fourth largest carrier Freedom Mobile.

Shah took his startup experience to restaurant point-of-sale product company, TouchBistro, as their first Chief Technology Officer. While at TouchBistro, he grew the company from under 20 to over 400 employees through their Series A to D fundraises.
