Crisp Appoints Gareth Davies from LiveRamp as Chief Product Officer to Lead Product Strategy and Innovation

Davies brings deep marketing tech product development expertise and CPG and retail connections to broaden supply chain data collaboration

NEW YORK, Oct. 12, 2021 — Crisp, the first programmatic commerce platform for the food and beverage industries, has brought on Gareth Davies as chief product officer. This hire comes at a time of rapid growth for Crisp as it expands its solutions for supply chain visibility and data sharing among CPG brands, agencies, distributors and retailers.

Based in San Francisco, Davies has more than 15 years of product development experience focused on enterprise data and secure data collaboration in a variety of industries including retail and CPG. Before Crisp, Davies served as vice president of product at LiveRamp Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: RAMP), a leading data connectivity platform for marketing that empowers brands to leverage the power of data to transform customer experiences. In his role, Davies led the development of innovative products for retail media and partnered with leading global retailers such as Carrefour to establish a secure data collaboration solution with CPG suppliers.

“There is an urgent need for secure data sharing and collaboration across supply chains,” said Are Traasdahl, CEO and Founder of Crisp. “Gareth’s experience with innovative data connectivity solutions for retail media and CPG brands will be an important asset as Crisp expands our programmatic commerce solution to enterprise brands. His expertise with enterprise data and privacy-preserving customer experiences will enable us to meet mission-critical needs of the world’s largest brands.”

Davies formerly co-founded Adbrain, where he developed a Data-as-a-Service platform for marketers that was later acquired by The Trade Desk. He also worked as a commercial leader at Google, where he led product collaborations with ad agencies, such as Publicis.

“I am passionate about solving meaningful problems through secure data sharing and collaboration,” said Davies. “I am excited to work with Are and the entire team at Crisp to expand innovative data collaboration solutions that build connections across CPG brands and retailers to make the food industry more agile and reduce waste.”
