Dropit Opens Austin Office, Hires Chief Revenue Officer to Fuel Global Expansion

With a two-decade career driving growth for delivery, shipping and logistics technology providers, Eric Abrahams will usher Dropit into its next phase of growth

Austin, Dec. 14, 2022 – Dropit, an omnichannel retail technology company that unifies brands’ in-store and online inventories and distribution channels, today announced that it recently hired Eric Abrahams as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to advance the company’s mission to mitigate the issue of excess inventory and product waste that is impacting retailers and the environment. Abrahams will be responsible for driving Dropit’s go-to-market strategy to accelerate growth and bolster revenue.

Abrahams brings two decade’s worth of experience leading go-to-market teams at ecommerce and API-based logistics technology providers. Most recently, he held the role of Vice President of Global Sales at AfterShip. Prior to AfterShip, Abrahams served as the Head of Worldwide Sales, Services and Solutions at ShipEngine and Vice President, Sales for North America at Bazaarvoice. Since 2014, Abrahams has also been a highly sought-after industry consultant, providing counsel to software-as-a-service-based and API-focused organizations on how to ramp up business development and operations to effectively scale their businesses.

“Given his extensive background scaling businesses within the e-commerce, shipping and logistics sectors, Eric has a unique understanding of the needs of today’s global retail ecosystem,” said Karin Cabili, CEO of Dropit. “As we enter our next phase of growth and continue to scale our presence within the U.S. market, I am thrilled to have Eric join our team and am confident that he will help us scale quickly while we continue tackling the biggest issues plaguing the retail industry.

Abrahams recently stepped into his role in Dropit’s newly opened Austin office, where he is tasked with setting Dropit’s go-to-market strategy. Additionally, he is responsible for building out Dropit’s U.S. and Canadian sales and client success teams, as well as guiding and growing its U.K.  sales and marketing teams.

“It’s exciting to join a company that is so passionate about solving the major pain points retailers face today, while simultaneously reducing the environmental impact of retail,” said Abrahams. “I look forward to being a part of growing the larger team and expanding Dropit’s presence as the company provides brands with the tools they need to make the most out of their inventory.”

The announcement comes shortly after Dropit completed a $25 million Series C funding round in November 2022. The capital directly supports Abrahams in bolstering the company’s go-to-market capabilities, extending its U.S. sales office in Austin and adding key hires for open positions across 12 states.
