San Francisco, May 17, 2023 – Emodo, the intelligent exchange creating more memorable connections through personal, relevant and rewarding advertising experiences, today announced the appointment of Rajeev Tyagi as its Chief of Product. Expanding the product leadership team, the company also announced three new hires. Ravi Dhanjal joins as Senior Director of Product Management, Jo McCawley as Senior Director of Product Management, DSP, and Dawid Zambrzycki as its Senior Director of Product Management, Yield, Optimization and Planning.
“Alongside strengthening and widening our product offerings, we are also committed to investing in hiring the industry’s best and brightest to innovate and optimize our solutions and client campaigns, and scale our exchange through enhancing our DSP and SSP platform capabilities,” said Damian McKenna, Chief Operating Officer at Emodo. “With highly experienced talent like Rajeev, Ravi, Jo and Dawid at the helm at a pivotal time in Emodo’s success story, we will continue to double down on our mission to help advertisers and publishers create memorable connections with consumers through advertising that works better for everyone.”
Bringing over 30 years of product, technology, and leadership experience building high-performing teams and large scale enterprise platforms in digital advertising, B2B and the consumer space, Tyagi will lead the charge in accelerating Emodo’s AI-driven performance and personalization in the programmatic advertising industry. Before this, he spent 16+ years at Yahoo leading products for two of the five large ad platforms, with $2B+ in yearly revenue. In his last role as Yahoo’s Head of Products, Native and Reserved Advertising, Tyagi led the monetization strategy for Yahoo-as-a-publisher, innovation, and use of AI to mitigate privacy headwinds and improve performance. Prior to his time at Yahoo, Tyagi held leadership positions at major organizations spanning Capgemini Ernst & Young, IBM, and Citibank India.
“Emodo has been doing phenomenal work growing their exchange through high-impact ad experiences that leverage dynamic formats, privacy-friendly audience targeting, and AI optimization” said Tyagi. “As we continue to innovate, I am excited to take the company’s product roadmap to the next level to drive growth and value across the industry, while being part of an agile and growing team.”
As Senior Director of Product Management, Dhanjal will oversee all advanced advertising products including Emodo’s new native ad offering, Adapt – in addition to PMP and publisher product strategy. Dhanjal brings over 10 years of experience in ad tech product management with an emphasis in programmatic advertising as well as SSP, DSP, publisher, and attribution. In his most recent role, Dhanjal served as the Director of Product Management at Nativo, where he scaled demand and supply across Nativo’s ad exchange and owned the company’s suite of AI-based Ad Optimization products.
Hired as the Senior Director of Product Management, DSP, McCawley will serve as the product lead for Emodo’s DSP, Activate. During her 15+ years of experience at Freewheel, MediaMath, and Kargo among others, McCawley championed product-led growth, dynamic optimization models and advanced user testing with data and empathy analysis. She is committed to product excellence, creativity, and elevating minority voices in tech, as exemplified through her work leading improv workshops for tech organizations, volunteering with Write/Speak/Code, or mentoring Google Women Techmakers.
In his role as Senior Director of Product Management, Yield, Optimization and Planning, Zambrzycki will work to build upon the growing success of existing predictive capabilities from Emodo Adapt to audiences. Previously, as the Senior Director of Product Management at AdTheorent, he managed a product team across products including machine learning, inventory management, data reporting and measurement, UI/UX, planning, and audiences.
Launched last year, Adapt, is a dynamically-optimized native ad offering that drives increased engagement and higher impact for brands and advertisers.
