Event Network Taps Oracle Retail

Minneapolis, MN and Austin, TX, June 30, 2022 — Event Network is a leading operator of gift shops for aquariums, zoos, museums, science centers, botanical gardens and other highly regarded cultural attractions. To better serve guests and these unique destinations, the company is upgrading its existing Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service (POS) and adopting  Oracle Retail Xstore Office cloud services.

With the mobile retail POS, dynamic currency conversion and a checkout process, store associates are better equipped to help assist guests throughout their shopping journey as they discover meaningful items and mementos to commemorate their visit.

Event Network is transforming the customer in-store checkout experience, which includes upgrading its hardware, software, payment devices, and infrastructure. Following an exhaustive evaluation of vendors and point-of-service solutions, Event Network selected Oracle Retails Xstore Point-of-Service application for its complete functionality, open architecture, cloud capabilities and faster time to market. BTM Global led the upgrade to the latest version of the application, including implementation and integration work with third-party vendors. BTM Global is a premier provider of implementation and integration services for Oracle Retail solutions and a member of Oracle Partner Network (OPN).

Recently, its first pilot store has successfully gone live. The roll-out will continue at select locations this summer during the busy travel season, followed by more than 100 locations in the fall. By adopting the Cloud, Event Network technical team created a scalable and accretive environment to support the business.
