Ohio-based charity moves online to better serve its growing customer base.
OWENS, OH and BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI, July 19, 2023— Food Network Angels, a 501(c)3 charity focused on feeding underserved families in southwest Ohio, is teaming up with eGrowcery, developer of the leading retail food industry ecommerce platform, to give customers an online ordering option. Food Network Angels is building a digital store that includes SNAP payment and is expected to boost the organization’s visibility so more people can be serviced.
“The purpose of Food Network Angels is to make feeding the hungry and undernourished more dignified,” said Wendy Schuchmann, Founder and CEO of Food Network Angels. “Working with eGrowcery will help us accomplish that goal by removing much of the friction involved with ordering and receiving food and related necessities.”
eGrowcery, which operates both in the United States and abroad, is providing technology to Food Network Angels at a reduced total cost to support the cause of getting nutritious food to those who need it, including an annual donation back to Food Network Angels, assisting them with their mission.
