Independent Research Firm Cites Aptos As A Strong Performer In Order Management Systems Evaluation

According to the report, Aptos ‘leads with product vision and by offering a solid portfolio of solutions’

ATLANTA, May 4, 2021 — Aptos, a recognized market leader in retail technology solutions, today announced that it has been named a Strong Performer in “The Forrester Wave™: Order Management Systems, Q2 2021.” Within the evaluation, the research firm identified the seven most significant order management system (OMS) vendors globally and researched, analyzed and scored them.

Following Forrester’s 38-criterion evaluation of OMS providers, Aptos was the second-highest scoring vendor in the Current Offering category for its Enterprise Order Management solution. Additionally, Aptos was ranked among the top three in the Strategy category.

Following Forrester’s analysis — which included vendor surveys, product demonstrations and customer references — Aptos received the highest possible score (5) in the product vision and innovation roadmap, and the supporting products criteria. Aptos also received the highest score (4.5) in the distributed order management criterion.

Within the report, Forrester noted that Aptos “leads with product vision and by offering a solid portfolio of solutions. It offers strong distributed order management (DOM) capabilities and some retail-specific features like endless aisle and promotions.”

The report also goes on to say: “Aptos has invigorated its solution with updates that enable its customers to successfully support retail and digital combined operations.”

According to Aptos CEO Pete Sinisgalli, the solution’s ability to help retailers profitably deliver seamless omnichannel experiences has been a major focus for Aptos in recent years, with the OMS solution benefiting from significant and fast-tracked R&D investment.

“With Aptos’ over four decades of experience in developing world-class store systems and customer engagement technology, we had a distinct and differentiating advantage when we entered the OMS space about six years ago,” Sinisgalli said.

“We applied our expertise in understanding consumers and delivering superior store experiences to develop a modern, cloud-native OMS that puts customers at the center of all decisions, and that utilizes enterprise-wide inventory — including stock positioned in stores — to profitably meet expectations for flexible fulfillment,” Sinisgalli added. “The result has been our retail customers’ ability to rapidly adapt to shifts in shopper behavior, to introduce new omnichannel fulfillment use cases that inspire loyalty, and to ultimately grow their business in a disrupted and competitive marketplace.

“We appreciate Forrester’s acknowledgment of Aptos as a leader in their OMS evaluation, and, just as importantly, the recognition of what’s to come in Aptos’ innovation roadmap — a roadmap that is fully focused on accelerating retailers’ digital transformations.”
