Kepler Analytics Appoints Bill Martin to U.S. Advisory Board

Retail Traffic Pioneer, ShopperTrak Co-Founder to Help Drive Australian Company’s North American Growth

Melbourne, Australia, Jan. 9, 2020 – Kepler Analytics, international provider of foot traffic monitoring and sales optimization solutions for retailers, today announced it has appointed retail intelligence pioneer Bill Martin to the company’s U.S. advisory board.

Mr. Martin helped establish the retail traffic counting and analytics industry as the co-founder of ShopperTrak in 1995.  He oversaw the evolution and growth of that company until it was acquired by Tyco International in 2016.

Kepler Analytics uses proprietary mobile phone detection technology to analyze foot traffic in and around retail stores, provide company-wide views of store performance against sales targets, and deliver real-time actions individual store managers and associates can take to optimize sales.

Following his time with ShopperTrak, Mr. Martin served as chairman of the board of Shelfbucks, which utilized proprietary technology to track and optimize in-store merchandising campaigns. He also served for seven years as CEO of Drummers Limited Sales, a business development firm that helped start-up companies increase sales and profitability.

“Bill Martin wrote the book on retail traffic analysis and store performance,” said David Gordon, CEO of Kepler Analytics. “His industry experience and insights will be of substantial value as we expand our company’s operations to serve major retailers throughout North America.”

The Kepler Analytics platform captures an unprecedented depth of shopper behavior, including outside traffic, inside traffic, shopfront merchandising conversions, fitting room activity, customer dwell times, sales transactions and conversions compared to similar periods and stores, cross store visits, and the number and frequency of customer repeat visits.

Since being commercially launched in 2017, Kepler Analytics has deployed its system in more than 3,000 stores for 100+ retailers in nine countries.  The company is currently in discussions with multiple leading U.S. retailers about its solutions.

Mr. Martin is a native of Chicago, where he currently resides.  He was regularly featured in national print and broadcast business media for his expertise in the trends and other factors that impacted retail sales performance.
