New York-based leather goods marketer Coach appointed Kate Buggeln senior vice president, strategic planning and new business development. Buggeln joins Coach from Boo.com, a division of fashionmall.com, where she was president/CEO. Previously, she was executive vice president and business leader for strategic management and e-commerce at Lake West Group Ltd.

Tempe, AZ-based Doug Ross Communications, a list management company for the Christian industry, appointed Michele Heffernan to marketing director. Previously, Heffernan held marketing positions at Vantage Mobility International, J.D. Power and Associates, Data Systems Network Corp., and Spring Arbor Distributors.

CRM and marketing information solutions provider KnowledgeBase Marketing, based in Richardson, TX, named Debbie Hughes chief financial officer. Most recently, Hughes was vice president of financial control at WebLink Wireless.

New York-based list management company Hugo Dunhill Mailing Lists has announced the following three promotions: Michael Mazzone, Jr. was promoted to vice president of the company’s wholesale division. Adam Tillmon was promoted to account executive wholesale division, and Stephanie Yeager was promoted to account executive for Hugo Dunhill Mailing Lists’ retail division.

Longmont, CO-based direct marketing company Concepts Direct added two people to its board of directors: Kenneth M. Gassman, Jr. and Marshall S. Geller. Gassman has been with Davenport & Co. LLC since 1991. Geller is chairman/CEO/founding partner of Geller & Friend Capital Partners and Brighton Venture Partners.

Hingham, MA-based cataloger/retailer/e-tailer Talbots has appointed Susan Swain to the company’s board of directors, where she will also serve on its audit committee. Swain is executive vice president and co-chief operating officer of C-Span. Talbots also promoted Julie Lorigan to the new position of vice president, investor relations.

Irving, TX-based Neiman Marcus Online, the online business unit of The Neiman Marcus Group, appointed two executives in newly created positions: Daniel Korn to executive vice president and Michael Crotty to vice president of marketing. Korn most recently served as president/CEO of Gazoontite.com. Crotty joins the company from CDNOW and Myplay.com, where he served as vice president of marketing.

Petaluma, CA-based women’s sports apparel retailer and manufacturer Athleta appointed Joe Teno senior vice president of operations. Most recently, Teno served as vice president of operations and organizational development at TravelSmith.

New York-based Saks named George L. Jones as its first CEO of its Birmingham, AL-based department store group. Jones, who had been president of worldwide licensing and studio stores for Warner Bros. since 1994, will also serve on Saks’ board of directors.

Croton Falls, NY-based list management company Mal Dunn Associates has named Angela Nicolosi director of executive operations. Ronald Maher was promoted to list management business manager and chief analyst.

Ridgefield, CT-based list management company D-J Associates appointed Robin Richmond vice president, list management. Most recently, Richmond served in the company’s marketing services division, where she was responsible for the outsourced marketing efforts of several clients.

Chestnut Hill, MA-based The Neiman Marcus Group appointed Burton M. Tansky to CEO. Tansky will also join the board of directors along with Paula Stern, Ph.D, president of The Stern Group. Tansky had been the company’s president/chief operating officer. Previously, he served as chairman/CEO of Neiman Marcus Stores. Stern is a director of Wal-Mart Stores, Avon Products, and Harcourt General.

Merrimack, NH-based direct marketer of information technology products and solutions PC Connection has two personnel annoucements. The company has promoted J. Anthony Detora to vice president of purchasing and inventory management for PC Connection Sales Corp., a subsidiary of PC Connection, and Kim Stevens was named vice president of product management for PC Connection Sales Corp

Weehawken, NJ-based list management company ClientLogic promoted Mary Ann Brennan to senior client management director in the list management division. Most recently, Brennan oversaw all production areas for the company as well as sales and marketing efforts for its client, Bookspan book clubs.

North Canton, OH-based Kids Stuff, a direct marketing company for children’s products from prenatal to age three, appointed two new members to its board of directors: Roger A. Kittelson and Theodore A. Pamperin. Kittleson is a CPA and a former partner with Arthur Andersen LLP. Pamperin is chairman of American Catalog Partnerships. and has run several catalogs, including J. Crew and Tweeds, and served as group executive at Hanover Direct.

Sun Prairie, WI-based paper manufacturer CTI Paper USA promoted Amy Fuss to customer service representativek, claims specialist. Fuss has five years of experience in the paper industry.

Kansas City, MO-based direct mail production company Felco Printing & Mailing has promoted Jill Cronenwett to president/CEO. Most recently, Cronenwett served as vice president of sales and marketing for the printing company.

Greenwich, CT-based list management firm Direct Media List Brokerage & Management appointed Jerry Schillinger to CEO. Most recently, Schillinger was president/founder of Spilsbury catalog and Internet site. Previously, he was president/founder of FTD.com.

Hackensack, NJ-based list management company Mokrynski & Associates appointed Jeannette Monaco to vice president in the list brokerage division. Previously, she held senior positions at Bergdorf Goodman, James River Traders, and Coach.

Houston, TX-based Web marketing services firm AdContent named Cameron Brown vice president, business development. Most recently, Brown was in sales with Indigo America and New York Life Insurance.

Dodgeville, WI-based direct merchant Lands’ End appointed Eliot Wadsworth, II to its board of directors. Wadsworth is the owner/CEO of mail order nursery business White Flower Farm.

The New York-based Direct Marketing Association (DMA) announced that Edward J. Gleiman, former chairman of the Postal Rate Commission (PRC), will join the company and head a DMA team of direct marketing industry experts in pushing for reform to the Postal Service. He was nominated to chairman of the PRC in 1994 by President Clinton; he was reappointed to a six-year term in 1998. He stepped down in February 2001. Previously, he served as staff director of the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Federal Services, Post Office and Civil Service.

Carmel, IN-based catalog consulting firm Lett Direct has appointed Susan J. DeVito as vice president. Most recently, DeVito was vice president of marketing and merchandising for Sturbridge Yankee Workshop. She was also marketing director for Levenger.

Boca Raton, FL-based list firm Dunhill International List Co. appointed Michael Stewart as senior account executive. Previously, Stewart worked at American Business Information (Info USA) as retail catalog sales manager and at Database America as regional sales manager. New York-based direct response agency Marke Communications has appointed Toni Busuttil as copy director. Most recently Busuttil was a creative consultant for music channel VH-1, as well as retailers Chico’s and Stern’s. Prior to consulting, she spent eight years at JCPenney’s home office and held various marketing positions.

Mahwah, NJ-based private label credit card company Shoppers Charge Accounts (SCA) appointed Kirk E. Schuh as a national account manager. Most recently, Schuh served as an account executive in the financial services division of DialAmerica Marketing.
