Walmart announced plans to hire 55,000 seasonal employees for the upcoming holiday season, according to a press release.
Out of the 55,000 seasonal employees hired, Walmart will transition more than 35,000 employees from temporary to part-time and another 35,000 employees will move from part-time to full-time.
Walmart joins Kohls with hiring for the holiday season. Kohls announced it would hire 50,000 seasonal employees this holiday, which will include 40 associates at each of the 1,158 United States retail stores, 6,400 season employees at various distribution centers throughout the country, and 350 “seasonal credit operations” positions which will focus assisting customers with orders.
