Network cabling products and services cataloger Black Box Corp. announced yet another international deal, this time with $2 million Belfast- and Dublin–based EDC Communications Ireland. The privately held EDC Communications provides technical design, installation, and maintenance services for premise cabling to government, health, education, and commercial clients in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Technically, the deal is being accounted for as a merger.
EDC Communications will change its name to Black Box Network Services–Northern Ireland Operations and Black Box Network Services–Dublin Operations. Pittsburgh-based Black Box now offers its services in 14 countries worldwide.
