Lillian Vernon’s Got a Brand New Bag Catalog

Gifts cataloger Lillian Vernon Corp. is returning to its roots with the launch of Personal Style, a fashion accessories spin-off. The 40-page catalog, scheduled to drop by the end of this month, sells 279 products including handbags, totes, cosmetic cases, and jewelry.

Although the White Plains, NY-based mailer says Personal Style is its first fashion accessory title, the company actually started out selling a fashion accessory: It was launched 54 years ago when founder Lillian Vernon famously placed an ad selling personalized purse belts in “Seventeen” magazine. And yes, most of the items in Personal Style can be personalized with a name or initials.
