My Twinn Bought by e-Toys Direct

Denver-based e-Toys Direct has purchased the assets of Englewood Village, CO-based cataloger My Twinn for $1.06 million. Formerly known as KB Online Holdings, e-Toys Direct was bought in May by an affiliate company of New York-based investment firm D.E. Shaw. D.E. Shaw also owns toys cataloger FAO Schwarz.

My Twinn, which abruptly ceased operations a week before Christmas last year, filed for Chapter 7 liquidation on Dec. 19. My Twinn specialized in dolls personalized to resemble “the special child in your life.” Per its licensing agreement, eToys Direct Inc. will operate the KB Website.
