Plano, TX-based PFSweb hopes to go beyond offering e-commerce solutions for online merchants to becoming an online merchant: It has agreed to buy online discount retailer eCost.com in a stock transaction valued at more than $29 million, pending shareholder approval.
Renton, WA-based reseller PC Mall spun off eCost.com as an independent company in April. For the trailing 12 months ended Sept. 30, eCost.com reported revenue of $192.4 million. PFSweb and eCost.com’s combined revenue for the trailing 12 months is $528 million.
