Survey: Order, Shipping Verification Top Online Concerns

(Direct Newsline) E-mail order verification and shipping confirmation were the most important features on a consumer e-commerce site, according to a new survey by the Millard Group.

In addition, the survey found that Websites should have is a corresponding catalog. Fifty-five percent of respondents indicated that they are still shopping online with a catalog in hand.

But the survey also found that most sites could display their products more clearly and that online marketers must makes sure hey have enough products in their inventories.

The majority of respondents said their anticipated holiday shopping was split between retail and the Internet. The group will spend 43% of its holiday shopping money in stores and 41% online. The survey polled more than 23,000 online buyers between July 9 and 30.
