Cyber Monday Mania Continues
According to a new study by RSA and the Ponemon Institute, Cyber Monday represents an average 55% surge in daily online/mobile retail revenues. Respondents also expressed concern that a corresponding surge in attacks in these timeframes puts those business gains at risk, with losses on average of as much as $500,000 per hour, or $8,000 per minute. Almost 70% (69%) of consumers plan to shop online on Cyber Monday, according to MarketLive’s annual online retailer survey and recommendations for the 2013 holiday retail season. Meanwhile, UPS said it expects pick-up volume on Cyber Monday to eclipse 32 million packages globally, an increase of 10%. [Click the page numbers or arrows to see the 11 other trends]
