Coupon Search Engine Sees 23% Traffic Jump on Black Friday

ShopAtHome.com, the largest coupon search engine that connects upwards of 12 million consumers each month to the best deals and cash back savings, today released its Black Friday 2012 Special Report. The report compares 2011 and 2012 user data and found a marked increase in online shopping and deal hunting this Black Friday.

Mobile Sparks 37% Rise in Wayfair.com’s Black Friday Weekend Sales

reported more than $3.5 million in Black Friday sales, and a 37% increase in holiday weekend sales compared to Thanksgiving weekend 2011. In addition, Wayfair.com more than doubled the percent of revenue from mobile as shoppers snapped up deals on everything from lamps to barstools to generate one sale every three seconds throughout the day.

Shop.org Says More Shoppers Ready for Cyber Monday

According to a survey conducted for Shop.org by BIGinsight, 129.2 million Americans plan to shop on Cyber Monday this year, up from the 122.8 million who shopped last year, and the 106.9 million who shopped on Cyber Monday in 2010.

Led by iPad, Mobile Commerce Exceeds 16% of Online Sales

Shoppers once again took advantage of early promotions this holiday season, driving a 17.4 percent increase in online sales Thanksgiving Day. This increase set the stage for 20.7 percent growth on Black Friday. The biggest surge came from mobile consumers, with sales reaching 16.3 percent, led by the iPad. This data is the result of cloud-based analytics findings from IBM.
