How Google Makes $100 Million a Day in Search Advertising

Last week, Google released its “disappointing” Q3 earnings (up 5% from Q2 and up 16% year-on-year.) To shed some light on how Google’s advertising revenues reached a whopping $10.8 billion in Q3, WordStream has undertaken a comprehensive analysis of the performance of Google AdWords during the quarter. The growth in ad impressions, combined with lower costs per click, means that advertisers are now literally able to get more customers for less spend, concludes WordStream’s CTO and founder, Larry Kim.

2012 Holiday Shopping Payment Preferences Unwrapped

Litle & Co., a payment processing company for consumer-direct brands, today released the results of an independent consumer survey to determine payments trends this holiday shopping season. The research found that while 60% of respondents owned a tablet or smartphone, only one in four have shopped via their mobile devices. Of those who do, the bullseye price point is $20-$100 which accounted for 63% of those purchases.
