Accenture entered into an agreement with Acquity Group Ltd., where Accenture will acquire Acquity Group, a digital marketing and ecommerce company, according to a press release on Acquity Group’s website.
According to the press release, the acquisition will “further strengthen and expand” the broad range of digital marketing services that Accenture provides to its clients.
The agreement will have Accenture paying a total of $316 million for Acquity Group. Acuity Group provides strategy, digital marketing and technical services to hundreds of companies to enhance their brand experiences and ecommerce performance, according to the press release.
According to the press release, the acquisition will broaden Accenture’s own experiences in strategy, digital marketing and technical services. The addition of Acquity Group’s skills and capabilities in ecommerce and digital platforms such as Adobe and hybris, supported by Accenture’s industry depth and global delivery capability will help Accenture Interactive further address the chief marketing officer’s most pressing needs in the midst of a digital transformation and marketing.
