According to Deloitte & Touche USA, more people shopped online the Friday after Thanksgiving than the Monday after. But according to comScore Networks, Cyber Monday was “the highest single day in retail e-commerce history.”
Among the 1,101 adults surveyed by Deloitte & Touche, 20% said they’d shopped online on Black Friday, while only 19% said they’d shopped online three days later, on Cyber Monday.
While fewer people may have shopped on Monday, they appear to have spent more. ComScore says that online consumer sales totaled $608 million on Cyber Monday, up 26% from the comparable day of last year.
